Zachary C. Hotaling

Zachary C. Hotaling, 35, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA, after a brief illness while surrounded by his loving family.

Zach was born in Cortland, NY on November 5, 1989, the son of Gregory and Valerie McKee Hotaling. He was a proud graduate of Cincinnatus Central School, class of 2008.

Zach dedicated much of his life to his career, working alongside his father and brothers as a plumber and HVAC specialist at S&H Mechanical. His commitment to his work reflected his dedication to supporting his family and providing for his loved ones.

Zach was known for his kind and generous spirit. He had a passion for the outdoors and maintained a health-conscious lifestyle, believing in taking life at a slower pace to truly appreciate all that it offered. He valued quality relationships and friendships, always prioritizing the well-being of those around him. Above all, the most important part of his life were his wife and children, whom he cherished deeply.

He leaves behind his wife, Nellie Loomis Hotaling; his son, Chase Patric Hotaling; and his daughters, Parker Rose Hotaling and Adelyn Clark Hotaling, whom he had the joy of delivering at home. Zach is remembered by his parents, Gregory and Valerie McKee Hotaling, of Cincinnatus; his brothers, Jesse (Bailey) Hotaling of Willet and Keaton Hotaling of Cincinnatus; as well as his grandparents, Lolita and Harold White of Marathon. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly.

Zach is predeceased by his grandparents: Allen McKee, Lucille McKee, and Clifford Hotaling; and his father-in-law, Patric Loomis.

The family will be present to receive friends at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with Jeanne Angell officiating.
