Timothy Richard Davis

Timothy Richard Davis, 67, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at his cabin on Hubbard Hill in the Town of Taylor, NY.

Born in Cortland, NY, on March 30, 1954, Tim was the son of Richard and Sally Jackson Davis. A 1972 graduate of Cincinnatus High School, he obtained his associate’s degree from Orange County Community College. After working on the family farm for many years, he was employed by Verizon and then worked at Intertek until his retirement. Tim was a member of the Finger Lakes Trail Conference and enjoyed movies, microbrews, and spending quality time at his cabin on Hubbard Hill.

He is survived by his daughter, Madison (Greg Bilodeau) Hyer of Cincinnatus; his mother, Sally Davis of Cincinnatus; and a sister, Peggy Davis of Cortland. He also leaves behind his uncles, Charles (Sharon) Jackson of Navarino and John Jackson of Florida; and many cousins, including Paul Horton, Joanne Isbell, and David Sayles.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Davis.

A graveside service will be held at the Taylor Rural Cemetery on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. There will be no prior calling hours or funeral service. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Tim may be directed to the Cincinnatus Emergency Squad, c/o Elaine Oros, 5771 McFarlane Road, Cincinnatus, NY 13040 or to a charity of one’s choice.
