As you read my words, I have slipped the bonds of our shared earth to join the celebration of light and universal love. My journey through the maze of human disease has given me a wonderful perspective on the good, kind and generous natures of our humanity. Amid our perceived boundaries, anger, divisive hate and fears, this has become lost to a few but my faith in our combined humanness wins the race.
I have been preceded in death by my mother, Doris Elaine Reynolds Scott Sadler Cuccia (Houston, TX) my dad, Lloyd A. Sadler (Longview, TX) and my birth father, George C. Scott (Eden, NY). Also by my beloved brother, Edward S. (Shirley) Sadley (Conroe, TX).
I am survived by my sons, Hans N. Peterman (Chicago, IL) and Logan L. Peterman (Madison, WI); the sunshine of my life, my grandchildren, Oliver W. Peterman (age 9) and Nora W. Peterman (age 5). I am from a large, blended family of origin and treasure my siblings: Pamela Maroney (N. Pitcher, NY), Penelope E. Powers (Syracuse, NY), L. David Sadler (Winterhaven, FL), Krista L. (Gilbert) Salinas (Baytown, TX), Glenn (Lisa) Scott (Eden, NY) and Lawrence (Kim) Scott, (Pennsylvania).
A life without dear friends would indeed be bereft of joy. I hold up these dear friends of decades for your support as I pass to yet another place: Elizabeth Glasser (special friend, Don) (Cross Plains, WI), Elizabeth Johnson (Walnut Creek, CA), Cynthia L. Loechler (WI Rapids, WI) Lee G. Peterman (Merrill, WI), and Katherine (Katie) Peterman (Madison, WI). To this list I must add the feline and canine friends that have brought so much joy over my years with their special unconditional love and acceptance of the human condition.
My life has been spent in meaningful work and service to my family, community, and I hope the greater world in some small part. It is my wish that no services be held. Please celebrate my small contributions by loving each other, feeding and caring for all the children of our world and adopting our pets in need of love and support. Each of these deliberate acts enriches our world through kindness, generosity and love.
