Stanley G. “Muggy” Yale, 74, of South Otselic, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 25, 2013, at his home.
Born in Norwich, NY, on April 29, 1939, Mr. Yale was a son of the late Lawrence and Gladys McGowan Yale. A longtime resident of the area, he was a 1958 graduate of Otselic Valley Central School. After graduation, he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 until his discharge in 1964. He was a member of the American Legion Post #973, South Otselic where he served as the bar manager for many years. He worked as a union carpenter for several years and was then employed by Otselic Valley Central School until his retirement. One of his favorite pastimes was working in his shop where he had several projects going at one time. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ginette Yale, and his children, Ricky Yale of North Pitcher, Michele (Christopher Freeman) Yale of Pitcher, and Randy (Lonni) Yale of Cincinnatus. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Ashley and Caitlin Yale, Kurtis and Alison Yale, and Kimberly DeVinne; a great-granddaughter, Adyson Mae Burke; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
The family will be present to receive friends at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Monday, July 29, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. with Fred M.S.
