Shirley A. Shepard

Shirley A. (Standish) Shepard, 68, of Plymouth, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at the Imogene Bassett Health Center, Cooperstown, NY, while surrounded by her family.

Shirley was born in Cortland, NY, on March 23, 1953, the daughter of the late Robert and Marguerite White Standish. A longtime resident of the area, she was employed at Gladding Corporation for several years until they closed and then worked at Cortland Line until her retirement.

She is survived by her children, Floyd (Christina) Shepard, Jr. of S. Plymouth and Karen (Eugene) Angle of Lincklaen. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Kimberly (D.J.) Treacy of S. Plymouth, Cassandra (Brandon Winton) Shepard of Earlville, Robert Shepard and Kyle Shepard, both of S. Plymouth; a sister, Bernice White of Pitcher; a sister-in-law, Gail Standish of McDonough; her companion of 17 years, Edward Smith of Plymouth; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Floyd Shepard, Sr., in 2004; a sister, Barbara Standish in 2017; and a brother, Garry Standish in 2018.

The family will be present to receive friends at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Friday, June 25, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be no formal funeral service.
