Sharon A. Liscio, 72, of McDonough, NY, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at her home, following an extended illness.
Born in Grand Rapids, MI, Sharon was the daughter of the late John G. Cook, Jr. and Mary Snapp Cook. She attended St. Francis of Assisi Church in Manhattan where she was a tremendous contributor to their efforts. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rutgers University and was a member of Mensa. She was also a graduate of New York University. She had previously been employed as the chief financial officer for the law firm of Otterbourg, Steindler, Houston & Rosen in New York City.
She is survived by a brother, Carl (Chi) Cook of El Dorado Hills, CA, and a sister, Diane (Marvin) Radimak of Grand Rapids, MI. She also leaves behind a niece, Stacey (Steve) Clark and their children, Sophia and Nolan of San Diego, CA; and nephews, Patrick (Rebecca) Cook and their children, Ella and Henry of Broomfield, CO, and Ryan Cook of Santa Cruz, CA.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Michael Liscio, on September 23, 2008.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral services. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Sharon may be directed to any no-kill animal shelter of one's choice.
