Ruth E. Rounds

Ruth E. Rounds, 64, of McDonough, NY, passed away early Monday morning, February 29, 2016, at Lourde’s Hospital, Binghamton, NY.

Born in Greene, NY, on May 2, 1951, Ruth was the daughter of the late Ivan and Elaine Brewer Warren.  A lifelong resident of this area, she was a 1969 graduate of Cincinnatus Central School.  Ruth was a simple Christian lady that never said anything negative about anyone.  She was a loving, caring, kind, helpful, and dependable woman who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Steve Rounds; and her children, Charity Washington and Casey Rounds.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Katelyn and Sarah Washington, Johnathon Benjamin, and Nicholas Poland; her great-grandchildren, Zoe and Destiny Chernoff, and Laura Mikalunas; her siblings, Agnes Spirgin, Connie Amir, Terry Lattimer, David Warren, and Donald Warren; a half-brother, Ernie Warren; her aunts, Thelma Temple and Violet Maroney; a cousin, Merla Lattimer; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Ruby.

Funeral services will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be in Westview Cemetery at a later date.  The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth’s memory may be made to the family to help offset expenses.
