Rosemary Frye

Rosemary A. Frye, 58, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016, after a courageous battle with thyroid cancer.

Rosemary was born in Cortland, NY, on February 24, 1958, the daughter of the late Roscoe and Dorothy Roe Frye.  A lifelong resident of the area, she was a 1976 graduate of Cincinnatus Central School and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Cincinnatus.  Prior to her illness, she had worked at Cortland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.  She was also a member of the Cincinnatus Heritage Society.  A loving sister and friend, she will be missed by her family and the community.

She is survived by her sisters, Barbara (Duane) Wolcott of Candor, and Diane (Rudolph) Bernard of Vestal; and a brother, James Frye of Reno, NV.  She also leaves behind three nephews, one niece, and several cousins.

A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Cincinnatus on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Paul Carlson officiating.  Burial will be in Lower Cincinnatus Cemetery at a later date.  The family will be present to receive friends at the church prior to the memorial service on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Rosemary may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Cincinnatus, 2608 Baptist Ave., Cincinnatus, NY 13040.
