Ronald W. Rink

Ronald W. Rink, 55, of Willet, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse, NY.

Ron was born in New Hartford, NY on February 22, 1960, the son of Charles and Mary Satterlee Rink.  A 1978 graduate of Cincinnatus Central School, he worked as a self-employed carpenter in the Willet area for most of his adult life.  He was currently serving as town councilman for the Town of Willet and was active in the former Willet Community Group.  Ron enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most importantly, his family always came first.  A devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, he will be dearly missed by his family.

In addition to his parents, Charles and Mary Rink, of Willet, he is survived by his wife, Cathy Rink of Willet; his children, Amanda (Thomas) Rink-Cortright of Cortland, Vern Rink and April Rink, both of Willet; grandchildren, Tanner and Hailey Cortright; brothers, Charles Rink, Jr. of Little Rock, AK, Russell (Kris) Rink of Freemont, MI, and Larry (Nancy) Rink of Cazenovia; sisters, Roberta (Brent Rosiek) Rink of Rochester, Linda (Jonathon) Laudig of German, and Barbara (Chuck) Winters of Willet; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY on Monday, March 16, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. with Fred M.S. Downs officiating.  Burial will be in Willet Cemetery at a later date.  The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Ron may be directed to the Willet Rescue Squad, c/o Margaret Yarnes, P.O.
