Robert J. Springer

Robert J. Springer, 75, of McGraw, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the Cortland Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, with his family by his side.

Born in Syracuse, NY, on January 19, 1949, Bob was the son of the late Clarence and Margaret Woolridge Springer. A longtime resident of the area, Bob was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Cortland. He dedicated a significant part of his life to his career in the New York State Corrections, where he was most recently stationed at Camp Pharsalia before retiring.

Bob was a cherished father and grandfather, leaving behind two daughters, Danielle (Lee) Parker of Fort Polk, LA, and Shannon (Ryan) Weeks of McGraw. He also enjoyed the joyful company of his grandchildren, Bryce (Rachel) Parker, Marissa Parker, Blake Weeks, and Zander Weeks. Additionally, he is survived by four brothers and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Springer, who passed away on November 21, 2023, three brothers and one sister. His legacy lives on through the rich memories he created with his family and the countless lives he touched throughout his career and beyond.
