Robert Kelly Livermore, a life-long resident of Cincinnatus, New York, passed away at the age of 73 on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at his home while surrounded by his family.
Bob was an active member of his community. A past driver for the ambulance department, Commander of the Knickerbocker Post #596 American Legion, and Highway Superintendent for the Town of Cincinnatus for many years, Bob was a man who could be depended on to come to the aid of those in need of a helping hand. Before starting his life as a husband and father, Bob served in the US Army in Vietnam.
An avid outdoorsman, Bob loved sharing these pastimes with family and friends. From hunting to fishing, hiking for ginseng and metal detecting with his wife, or trapping in the winters, Bob knew all the good spots and best strategies.
Bob is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joanne, his daughters Melissa (Joseph) Hummel and Maria (Michael) Landon, and grandchildren Kelly and Michael whom he loved dearly, as well as siblings Oralee (Anthony) Adams, Kathy (Phil) McGrath and Tom (Dee) Livermore, many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Bob is predeceased by his parents Robert and Lucille Livermore.
The family will be present to receive friends at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Cincinnatus, NY, on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Lower Cincinnatus Cemetery at a later date. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Bob may be directed to the OLPH Women’s Fund, 2708 Lower Cincinnatus Road, Cincinnatus, NY 13040.
