Robert W. Jacobi

Robert W. Jacobi, 85, of McGraw, NY, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at the Crown Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Cortland, NY.

Bob was born in Cortland, NY, on November 5, 1936, the son of the late Joseph and Thelma Prindle Jacobi.  A 1954 graduate of McGraw Central School, he served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958.  After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, he attended Morrisville College, graduating in 1960.  On June 15, 1962, he married Phyllis Hemmings.  He had worked at Brockway Motors from 1960 to 1972 and NYS OGS from 1973 until his retirement in 1995.  He had also worked at Salisbury Fire Equipment from 1995 to 2001 and as a lab courier for CRMC from 2001 to 2017.  Bob served as the McGraw Justice of the Peace from 1975 to 1981 and was a member of the McGraw Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Phyllis Hemmings Jacobi.  He also leaves behind one niece and one nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Richard Jacobi in November 2021.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
