Robert N. Brenchley, 74, of Willet, NY, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2012, at the home of his son in Willet.
Bob was born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 1, 1937, a son of the late Neville and Mary Monaghan Brenchley. A longtime resident of this area, he was a life member of the Cincinnatus Fire Department. For several years, he was the original "cable man" of Cincinnatus, working for Chain Links Cable. He enjoyed coin collecting and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. A loving father and grandfather, Bob will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Robert (Beth) Brenchley, Tina (John) Button, Corey (Karen) Brenchley, Chad Brenchley, and Blair Brenchley. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; a brother, David (Lori) Brenchley; sisters, Patricia (James) Hanley and Kathryn (Joseph) Bulger; and dear friends, Heather Silvanic and Shawn Scoville.
He was predeceased by the mother of his children, Diane K. Halliday, in 1997 and a brother, Richard Stillman, in 2000.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cincinnatus Fire Department with Reverend Palmer Neumeister officiating. There will be no prior calling hours. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Bob may be directed to the Cincinnatus Fire Department 4th of July Committee, P.O. Box 239, Cincinnatus, NY 13040, to be used for the fireworks display.
