Richard W. Snyder

Richard W. Snyder, age 63, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away at his home on Saturday, March 18, 2023 ending a long battle with Sarcoma.  He was surrounded by loving family and friends. 

Richard was born on September 22, 1959 in Hermiston, OR, son of the late Harold and Dorothy (Schamel) Snyder.  He attended Hermiston High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army in South Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1978.  Richard and Mary were married on October 28, 1989 in Coeur d’ Alene, ID. Richard worked as a CDL-A truck driver for most of his career and retired from Northern Block of Cortland in 2015.  He attended Taylor Wesleyan Church. Richard loved traveling and spending time with family and friends.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and old cars.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary (McArdle) Snyder; son, Jacob Snyder of Cincinnatus; daughters, Jessica (William) Davis of Lexington, NC, Amy (James) Cronk of Freeville, Michelle (Brad) Hedrick of Lexington, NC, Elizabeth Arce of Cortland and Emily Snyder of Cincinnatus; 11 grandchildren; brothers, Ed (Wendy) Snyder and Tom (Ren) Snyder of Hermiston, OR; sisters, Laura Snyder of Hermiston, OR and Anna (Rob) Myer of Spokane, WA; aunts, Florence (John) Duncan of West Linn, OR and Carol McReynolds of Terrebonne, OR; many cousins, nephews and nieces.
