Pamela J. McLean, 62, of McGraw, NY, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, NY.
Pam was born in Cortland, NY on December 24, 1961, the daughter of the late Ernest and Karen Tiechert Woodard. Pam led a remarkable life filled with dedication and service. After graduating from McGraw Central School, she proudly served in the U.S. Army before embarking on a career as a Sr. Account Clerk for the Cortland County Sheriff's Department. She was also a member of the CSEA Retiree’s Union.
A loving wife to Allan McLean for 25 years, Pamela was also a devoted mother to Carene (Justin) Lyon-Wrighter of Binghamton and a caring stepmother to Heidi (Matthew) O'Rourke and Chris (Holly) McLean, all of McGraw. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren: Brooke Irish, Kaitlyn (Ryan) Poole, Logan O'Rourke, Calder McLean, Calais McLean, and Rita Wrighter.
Pamela's memory will be forever treasured by her sisters, Patty (William) Churchill of Florida and Penny Peeples of Georgia; her aunt and uncle Terry and Marc Mullen of Harford; mother-in-law Jeannette McLean of McGraw; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were touched by her kindness.
A memorial service will be held at the McGrawville Baptist Church, McGraw, NY, on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. with her pastor, Reverend Fran Cochran officiating. Burial will be in McGraw Cemetery at a later date. The family will be present to receive friends at the church from 12:00 p.m. until the start of the service at 1:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Pam may be directed to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
