Mildred Iris Fish

Mildred Iris Holtmart Fish, 84, of Cincinnatus, NY passed away on Friday, March 12, 2010, at Michaud Nursing Home, Fulton, NY.

Born April 8, 1925 in Willet, NY to George and Verna Taft Holtmart, she lived in the Cincinnatus area most of her life. In 1943 she married Maynard Fish and they owned and operated a dairy farm and mink ranch for many years.

She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie (Charles) Eyerly of Dunnellon, FL and Bunny (Stephen) Schlegel of Sterling; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Maynard, in 2001; a daughter, Betty L. White in 2004, and all of her brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Palmer Neumeister officiating. Burial will be in Taylor Rural Cemetery at a later date. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until the start of the service at 1:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Fish may be directed to the Cincinnatus Emergency Squad, c/o Elaine Oros, 5771 McFarlane Rd., Cincinnatus, NY 13040.
