Mildred J. Brown

Mildred J. Brown, 98, formerly of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012, at the Norwalk Memorial Home, Norwalk, OH.

Mrs. Brown was born in Cortland, NY on May 22, 1913, a daughter of the late Morris and Jessie Carpenter. A longtime resident of Cincinnatus, she moved to Norwalk, OH, several years ago to be near her grandson and his family. She retired from SUNY Cortland where she worked for many years as a food service worker.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Richard and his wife, Valerie Brown of Norwalk, OH and Ralph and his wife, Cynthia (nee) Brown Gitz of Berwick, PA. She also leaves behind a longtime friend, Lillian Pawelczek of Norwalk, OH and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Errol Brown, and a son, William Brown.
