Maureen B. Spann

Maureen B. Spann, 66, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 13, 2025, at her home.

Maureen was born in Teaneck, NJ on February 19, 1958, the daughter of the late Richard and Cecilia McGory Spann.

Maureen's career was marked by her valued contributions as a supervisor at the Cortland County Department of Social Services, where she demonstrated unwavering dedication to serving others. Prior to that, she had worked at Chenango County Department of Social Services.

She leaves behind her brother, Patrick Spann, and his wife, Patricia Squires, of Arlington, VA; a devoted sister, Kathleen Spann, of Greene; and a  niece, Lynn Chamberlin, of Apalachin.

A graveside service will be held at Wayside Rest Cemetery on Monday, May 12, 2025, 11:00 a.m.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Maureen may be directed to the Chenango County SPCA, 6160 County Road 32, Norwich, NY 13815.
