Mary E. Bush

Mary E. (Bowering) Bush, 89, of Cortland, NY, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the Guthrie Cortland Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility, Cortland, NY.

Born in Cortland, NY, on September 30, 1934, Mary was the daughter of the late George and Louise Dilthey Bowering.  A lifelong resident of the area, she retired from McGraw Central School where she had worked in the cafeteria.

She is survived by her children, Glenn (Jeanne) Bush of New Smyrna Beach, FL, David (Karen) Bush of Lynchburg, VA, and Steven (Annette) Bush of Cortland.  She also leaves behind her grandsons, Kyle Bush of Cortland and John Bush of Lynchburg, VA; and a special nephew, Paul Rehbein of Mattydale.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Gerald Bush, on June 28, 2022.
