Marien A. Parker, 86, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010, at her daughter's home in Flourtown, PA.
Mrs. Parker was born in Liberty, NY on March 5, 1924, a daughter of the late William H. and Eleanor Linderman. For several years she and her family made their home in the Philadelphia, PA area and later moved to Binghamton, NY. They moved to Cincinnatus in 1978. She was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. Somers and her friend, Elizabeth Gavula of Flourtown, PA; and a son, Robert (Amy) Parker of Cincinnatus. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Richard Somers, Jr., Michelle Trzaska, Jason Somers, and Jeremy Somers; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edmond Parker, in 1995; a son, Richard Somers, in 2006; a sister, Frances Docalavich; and a brother, William Linderman.
A celebration of Mrs. Parker's life will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to a local ASPCA or the Cincinnatus Emergency Squad, c/o Elaine Oros, 5771 McFarlane Road, Cincinnatus, NY 13040.
