Lynn M. (Johnson) Wood, 76, formerly of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away at her daughter’s home in Cortland, NY, on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, while surrounded by her loving family.

 

Lynn was born in Cortland, NY, on July 22, 1946, the daughter of the late Aubrey and Dorotha DeLong Johnson.  A longtime resident of the area, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cincinnatus.  Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as the office manager for the Cincinnatus Sr. Citizen’s Home.  She was a life member of the Cincinnatus Fire Department Auxiliary where she served as an EMT and fire police.  She spent many Saturday nights assisting the department with bingo.  She was also a member of the Cortland County Women’s Fire Department and a former member of the Cincinnatus Town Board.

 

She is survived by her children, Dorotha (Ricky) Neu, Melody (Jerome) DuBois, Kandi (Gerhard) Tanudjaja, and Kevin Wood.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Joshua DuBois, Jaimi DuBois, Destiny Wood, Tyler Tanudjaja, Trayton Tanudjaja, Tucker Wood, Trinity Tanudjaja, and Emily Wood; her great-grandchildren, Dominic DuBois, Zoey Reninger, Alessa DuBois, and one on the way; a brother, Donald Johnson; a stepbrother, Thomas (Lori) Johnson; and a stepsister, Berneta (John) Terry.

 

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Norman D. Wood, on November 22, 2011.

 

The family will be present to receive friends at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Palmer Neumeister officiating.  Burial will be in Cortland Rural Cemetery in the spring of the year.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Lynn may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
