Lonnie F. Pittsley, Sr.

Lonnie F. Pittsley, Sr., 68, of Freetown, NY, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016, at his home, while surrounded by his family.

Born in Pitcher, NY, on August 26, 1948, Lonnie was the son of the late Earl and Mabel Thornton Pittsley.  He retired from Cortland County Department of Social Services after several years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda Pittsley; and his children, Lonnie (Samantha) Pittsley, Jr., Shawn (Elizabeth) Pittsley, Joseph (Serena) Pittsley, Tina (Chris Ward) Pittsley, Scott (Denise) Leman, Corinna, Robert Leman, Jr., and Michael (Kristian) Leman.  He also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including a special granddaughter who he fondly referred to as Grandpa’s stick in the mud, Kristy Leman.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no prior calling hours of funeral services.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Lonnie may be directed to Caring Community Hospice of Cortland County, 11 Kennedy Parkway, Cortland, NY 13045.
