Lois L. Atkinson

Lois L. Atkinson, 88, of Cortland, NY, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020, at the Crown Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Cortland, NY. 

Lois was born in Rochester, Vermont, on November 3, 1931, the daughter of the late Calvin and Edna Hubbell Bailey.  Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by NCR in Ithaca.   Lois was always sewing and doing crafts for her home.  She also read her bible on a daily basis.  When she went to the nursing home, the first thing she asked was where was her bible.

She is survived by a brother, Lyle Bailey, of Oregon; daughters-in-law, Goldie of Harford and Ethel of Jamestown; a stepson, Scott Atkinson; many grandchildren; several nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sons, Roger and Lloyd Hall in 2015;  brothers, Les, Calvin, Lester, Leonard, and Milton; and a sister, Beatrice.

In keeping with the wishes of the family, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.  A private family service will be held at a later date.
