Linda “Lee” Burlingame, 48, died peacefully while surrounded by her adoring family on October 2, 2012 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. Lee grew up in Marathon, NY, and has resided for many years in Hammond, NY on the shores of Black Lake where she ran Lakeside Treasures and Marina and Lakeside Lodge along with her husband, Brian Burlingame.
Lee’s consistently positive attitude, selfless generosity and unwavering loyalty touched everyone who knew her, and her passing has left a hole in the hearts of her family and friends that will never be filled. She was a woman who sparkled every day of her life, a beloved member of her community, and a kind and loving friend to countless people. She will be deeply missed.
The only daughter of Wesley and Linda (Clark) Lewis, Lee was born on February 11, 1964 and is survived by her two sons, Lance Lewis of Cincinnatus and Nicholas Burlingame of Endicott, her husband, Brian Burlingame of Hammond, her parents named above, and her five brothers, Steven, Dale, Daniel, Carl, and Roy Lewis, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Wesley Lewis, Jr.
A memorial service for Lee will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2012, at 2:00 pm at the K. L. Sharp Funeral Home in Cincinnatus, NY. She was laid to rest last weekend, October 8, in the Edwardsville Cemetery overlooking the lake she so loved.
