Leonard Infield, 94, of E. Freetown, NY, was reunited with the love of his life, Florence, on Monday, August 30, 2021.
Born in Patterson, NJ, on September 20, 1926, Mr. Infield was the son of the late William and Rose Augustowsky. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a retired teamster from Local 560. He was a proud union democrat who loved his country and his family.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Infield of Solon, Jeffrey (Jill) Infield of Florida, and Kevin Infield of Nutley, NJ; and his daughters, Robin (Paul) Slocum of Freetown, and Melissa Wild of Lake Hopatcong, NJ. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his sisters, Evelyn Weinstein of Florida, Faygie Wolfson of Fairlawn, NJ, and Mary (Jim) Cerisano of Bloomingdale, NJ; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Florence McCann Infield in 2011, and a brother, Marvin Infield.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Leonard, the family asks that you have a beer and do a kind deed for an elderly person.
