Leonard G. Bucaro

Leonard G. Bucaro, 73, of McDonough, NY, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY from injuries sustained in a fall at his home on November 6^th.

Born in Hackensack, NJ on November 30, 1939, Lenny was a son of the late Andrew and Georgette Maire Bucaro.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960.  After being discharged from the Army, he went to work for Conrail in Croxton, NJ where he worked for several years as a manager and heavy equipment operator.  An avid sportsman and outdoorsman, Lenny enjoyed hunting and taking care of his animals.  A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Bucaro, and his children, Leonard A. (Rebecca) Bucaro of Homer and Tonilynn Totten of McDonough.  He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and his sisters, Joan (Jerry) Walters of Florida and Diane (Michael) Crowley of E. Brunswick, NJ.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by a grandson, Leonard A. Bucaro, Jr. and a brother, Andrew Bucaro.

Funeral services will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. with Fred M.S. Downs officiating.  The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday and Friday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Lenny may be directed the CNY S.N.A.P., 178 Central Avenue, Cortland, NY 13045.
