Leo C. Bush

Leo C. Bush, 76, of Homer, NY, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020, at his home, while surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Cortland, NY, on December 1, 1943, Leo was the son of the late Leo Hamilton Bush and Myra Madison Bush Pace.  A lifelong resident of the area, he was a 1963 graduate of Cortland Central School.  Upon graduation, he proudly served in the U.S. Army.  He was a member of the McGraw United Methodist Church and also attended the Grace Christian Fellowship, Cortland, and the Fellowship Church, Leesburg, FL.  He retired from SUNY Cortland in 2000 after many years of service where he had worked as an electrician.  He was a member of the Knickerbocker Country Club and a former member of the Moose Club.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary Dellow Bush; and his children, Rhonda Bush Hodgson of Ft. Myers, FL, Eric (Jill) Bush of Erie, CO, Charles Bush of Hornell, John (Kimberly) Bush of Clermont, FL, and Mathew (Katie) Bush of Cortland.  He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Danielle (Curtis) McAdam, Rachel (Cole) Smith, Michael Kapuscinski, Lexi Hodgson, Jakob Bush, Damien (Taisha) Barron, Taylor, Hunter (Tamara), MacKayla, Delaney, Spencer, Lauren, Aubrey, Carson, and Hayley Bush; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruea Homer of Cortland, Alberta (Bob) Meacham of Lincklaen, James (Mary) Bush of Horseheads, and Janet Jonson of FL; an uncle, John Madison of Penn Yan, an aunt, Norma Rhodes of Painted Post; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Leo Bush; and sisters, Ruby Kilmer and Barbara McDonald.
