Laurie Anne Sperger Endler

Laurie Ann (Graves) Sperger Endler, 60, of Homer, NY, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse,  NY, while surrounded by her loving family.

Laurie was born in Norwich, NY, on April 23, 1963, the daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel Locke Graves.  For the past 35 years, she had been employed by the Family Health Network, Cortland, serving most recently as the Director of Human Resources.  In addition to her position at Family Health Network, she had also worked as a bartender for the Homer American Legion, Friends, the Mountain View, and Easy Street.  Laurie was a member of the Homer American Legion Post #465, and a member of the Homer Elks Lodge #2506.

A woman often described as “sparkly,” Laurie lived her life in the most joyous manner possible.  She treated everyone with respect, and it was easy to see her character in the quality of people she spent her time with and how much those people loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Endler; and daughters, Kayleigh and Katarina.  She also leaves behind her sisters, JoAnn (Steven) Fuller, Linda (John) Peck, and Jackie (Aaron) Markoff; a brother, Truman “Butch” (Barbara) Graves; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Terry Graves.

A Celebration of Laurie’s Life will be held in the spring of 2024.  The family has requested that donations in Laurie’s memory may be made to the ASPCA, 879 McLean Road, Cortland, NY 13045 or to Puzzle Solvers, Inc., 50 Clinton Avenue, Cortland,  NY 13045.
