Larry L. Cruikshank, Jr.

Larry Cruikshank, Jr., 55, of South Otselic, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 15, 2016, at Cortland Regional Medical Center, Cortland, NY, after becoming ill at work.

Larry was born in Cortland, NY, on April 9, 1961, the son of Larry Cruikshank, Sr. and Nancy Yerger.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and for the past several years had been employed at Builder’s Best, Cortland, NY.  Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, and local modified racing with his close friend, Pete Taylor.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy Cruikshank, of Pitcher, and a sister, Tracy Straight, of N. Pitcher.  He also leaves behind a niece, Tricia Straight, of San Diego, CA; a nephew, Tim Straight, Jr., of S. Otselic; several aunts and cousins.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Timothy Straight, Sr., and several uncles.

The family will be present to receive friends at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  In keeping with the wishes of the family, there will be no formal funeral service.
