Judy L. Whorrall

Judy L. Whorrall, 49, of South Otselic, NY, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at her home, while surrounded by her family.

Judy was born in Cortland, NY on June 22, 1963, a daughter of Donald and Jane Merchant Snyder.  A lifelong resident of the area, she was a 1981 graduate of Otselic Valley Central School.  For nine years, she owned and operated the Burgh Ice Cream Shop in South Otselic.

In addition to her mother, Jane Parker, of Pitcher, she is survived by her husband of 29 years, Jerry Whorrall; her children, Amanda (Jeff) Brown of Cincinnatus, Joshua Whorrall and David Whorrall, both of South Otselic; and her grandchildren, Caleb and Katie Brown.  She also leaves behind her sisters, Donna (Dean) Catlin of Pitcher, Melissa Parker of DeRuyter; a brother, Bobby Parker of DeRuyter; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home on Saturday, August 11, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. with Fred M.S. Downs officiating.  Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, South Otselic.  The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Judy may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons Street, E.
