Juanita J. “Dee” Crandall, 77, of Cortland, NY, passed away on January 18, 2014, at her winter home in Florida.
Dee was born in Pitcher, NY on May 15, 1936, a daughter of the late Merle and Florence Loomis. She attended Cincinnatus Central School.
She is survived by her close friend and companion, Tom Barnhart, of Cortland; her daughters, Debra (John) Brewer of Bushnell, FL and Judy Crandall of Oxford; granddaughters, Brooks, Bond, Brandi, Ashley, Lindsay, and Danielle; and seven great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a brother Dale (Terena) Loomis of Cincinnatus; sister-in-law, Dolores Loomis of Cincinnatus; brother-in-law, Lester Blackman of Norwich; stepbrother, Lyman (Pat) Crosby of Greene; stepsisters, Carol Harper of Endicott, Pauline (David) Quattro of Rockville, MD, and Gloria (Bob) Rogers of Cortland; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by a brother, Bill Loomis, in 1991; and a sister, Bonnie Blackman, in 2004.
The family will be present to receive friends at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY on Saturday, March 1, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. followed by a brief prayer service. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Dee may be directed to a charity of one’s choice.
