Jerry W. Holman

Jerry W. Holman, 67, of Duff, TN, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016, at his daughter’s home in Whitney Point, NY.

Jerry was born in Westbourne, TN on November 4, 1948, the son of the late Thomas Junior Holman and Alma Ellison Holman.  A resident of Duff, TN, since 2002, he had more recently made his home in Whitney Point, NY, for the past two years.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served our country during the Vietnam Era.  He enjoyed woodworking and welding and had an incredible thirst for knowledge and always felt that he could not learn enough.  He considered himself a “Jack of All Trades” and a “Master of None.”

He is survived by his daughters, Shannen (Jacob) Metcalf of Pitcher, NY and Trisha (Chris Nicholas) Holman of Whitney Point, NY.  He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Christian, Braelyn, Gavin, Emily, Katie, Ruby, and Gabby; a brother, Terry Lee Holman of Duff, TN; his soul mate Jeannette Partin and her children, Megan (Chris Bloomfield) Stanaford and Ralph (Kimberly) Stanaford of Clairfield, TN and the mother of his children, Linda Ellis of Vestal, NY.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Jimmy Ray Holman.

The family will be present to receive friends at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at the Martin and Wilson Funeral Home, LaFollette, TN on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Chadwell Cemetery, Campbell County, TN.
