Jack S. Flint, 54, of Willet, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 18, 2009, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Jack was born on February 19, 1955 in Cortland, NY a son of the late Nelson and Lucille Cooper Flint. He was a 1973 graduate of Cincinnatus Central School and traveled for many years only to come home to Willet, NY. Jack was a natural comedian and could imitate anyone. His wit and charm won the hearts of everyone who knew him. He never held a grudge or wanted to harm anyone. He cared deeply for every person and animal he knew or had. Jack loved his family very much and often told them this. His church, the Willet United Methodist Church, was also his family. He and his partner, Judy, would often be serving breakfast there on Saturday mornings along with their nieces. Jack's gift of carpentry was phenomenal and he would often help his family and his church with his skill. He loved every moment of it. Jack will never be forgotten and he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his partner and soul mate of 15 years, Judy Halstrom; brothers, Kenneth (Carol) Flint of Dansville, VA and Chuck (Deb) Flint of Willet; a sister, Terry (Jon) Weiss of Interlaken; a son, Jack; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Michael Cooper Flint, and a niece, Emily Cowan.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at the Willet United Methodist Church with Thanna and Earl Howell officiating. Burial will be in Willet Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Jack may be made to the Willet United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 74, Willet, NY 13863.
