Helen G. (Davenport) Kling, 90, formerly of Dutch Hill Road in Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017, at the Cortland Regional Medical Center, Cortland, NY.
Born in Bogota, NJ, on September 6, 1926, Mrs. Kling was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Lilian Kreiger Davenport. A longtime resident of the area, she was a former member of the board of directors for the Cortland YMCA.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (John) Houskamp, Patricia Jordan, and Pamela (Gary) Davis, all of Cincinnatus. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jessica Blaker, Joshua Houskamp, Jennifer (Harold) Walker, and Jeffery (Amanda) Brown; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert Kling, in 1982; and her several siblings.
The family will be present to receive friends at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A private graveside service will be held at the Taylor Rural Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
