Fred Thomas Naylor

Fred Thomas Naylor, 81, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021, at the Valley View Nursing Home, Norwich, NY.

Born in Cortland, NY, on January 25, 1939, Fred was the son of the late Clifton and Agnes Doran Naylor.  A lifetime resident of the area, he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force.  Prior to his retirement, he drove bus for Cortland Transit for several years.  He was a member of the Solon Sportsman Club and was also a well-known auctioneer.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Roberta Jester Naylor; and his children, Justin (Barb) Naylor of Cortland, Cheryl Lee of Cortland, Suzzie Naylor of Virgil, Dawn (Bruce) Famoly of Manlius, Reid Harris of Cincinnatus, Nicole (Roger) Burhans of Lafayette, and Jami Reynolds of Auburn.  He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Becca, Justin, Ashley, Paige, Brittany, Nichole, Jessica, Brooke, Karli, Lucas, and Anne; his great-grandchildren, Tavin, Ashton, Lincoln, Seth, Chloe, Deegan, Bentlee, Luka Fredrick, Paisley, Anastasia, Natalie, Bubba, Amyra, Cebastian, Kaylanah, Aiden, Reah, and Patric; several niece,  nephews, and cousins; and his canine companions, Curly and Lady.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Jean, a granddaughter, Heather; a brother, Jim Naylor; and a sister, Leona Noble.

The family will be present to receive friends at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  NY State Covid-19 guidelines will be followed.  Masks must be worn and social distancing will be in place.  A private memorial service will be held at the funeral home at the convenience of the family.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Fred may be directed to ASPCA, 879 McLean Road, Cortland, NY 13045.
