Emma J. Joseph, 71, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at the Bridgewater Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, Binghamton, NY, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Joseph was born in Smithville Flats, NY, on April 17, 1942, a daughter of the late Paul and Clara Ida King Livermore.  Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a resident technician at Cornell University.  She had also been employed at Rubbermaid in Cortland.  She was a member of the G.M. Nightengale American Legion Post #1478, McDonough.

She is survived by her daughters, Nodja (Michael) Donahue and Nadine Kiggins, all of Smithville Flats, and Michole Schneider of Lakeland, FL.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Joseph (Brenda) Hatch, Thomas (Ashlee) Donahue, Sam (Courtney) Hatch, and Mystique Schneider; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William Joseph, in 2006, a son, Eddie Paul Kiggins, in 1998, and a son-in-law, Larry Schneider, in 1992.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services.
