Edna L. Harvey

Edna Louise Harvey (Loomis), 77, of Brackel Rd., Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2009, at the Cortland Regional Medical Center, Cortland, NY, while surrounded by her family.

Born on February 28, 1932 to the late Archie and Velma Brown Harvey, Edna was a lifelong resident of the area. Edna graduated from Cincinnatus Central School in 1952. She began her career working in the garment industry at Crescent Corset factory, J.T. Toggs, and retired in 1999 from Cortland Corset factory.

She loved being on the farm, her horses, flower gardens, crocheting and knitting, furniture refinishing, and most especially, her family. She was a fan of the NY Yankees, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and Roy Rogers and his horse, Trigger.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Kevin Springer, South Otselic, and her son and his girlfriend, Patric Loomis and Doreen Beebe, McDonough. She also leaves behind her five grandchildren, Jeremy and Aimee Stith, Taylor, Nellie Loomis, Pitcher, Ashlyn Loomis, Cincinnatus, and Ryan Loomis, McDonough; two great-granddaughters, Peyton and Addison Stith, Taylor; a brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence (Stub) and Eleanor Harvey, Cincinnatus; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Mudge, and a nephew, Ashley.

Funeral services will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, on Friday, November 27, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. with Jeanne Angell officiating. Burial will be in Cincinnatus Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the start of the service at 2:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Edna may be directed to the American Cancer Society, CNY Region, P.O.
