Earl D. Fox, 79, of Cortland, NY, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019, at the Cortland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Cortland, NY.
Born in Cincinnatus, NY, on July 14, 1939, Earl was the son of the late Clinton and Iva Fox. A lifetime resident of the area, he retired from Black Horse Trucking, Tully, after several years of service. After his retirement, he drove truck for Alnye Trucking, Moravia. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time in the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Donna Stanley Fox, and children, Julie (Roger Tull) Fox of Maricopa, AZ, Jerry (Vicki) Fox of Willet, and Laura Fox. He also leaves behind six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Beulah Christopher of McGraw; brothers, Jay Fox of Cortland, Dan Fox of Wilkes-Barre, PA, and Gaius Fox of Parish, NY; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four sisters and five brothers.
A celebration of Earl’s life will be held at the McGraw Community Park on his birthday, Sunday, July 14, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. Earl loved a picnic so you are invited to bring a dish-to-pass and help celebrate a life well-lived.
