Dorothy (Homick) Cross, 83, of Pitcher, NY, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2011, at her home.
Mrs. Cross was born in Peckville, PA on March 3, 1928, a daughter of the late Michael and (Mom) Homick. She was employed as a registered nurse for Wilson Memorial Hospital until her retirement. After retirement, her numerous charities kept her busy.
She is survived by her children, Craig Cross of Pitcher, Shelley (John) Campbell of Kirkwood, and Michael Cross of Kissimmee, FL. She also leaves behind a brother, John Homick of Virginia; sisters, Tilly Krznarich of Texas and Johanna Dranczyk of Troope; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a dear friend, Beth Martin of Mt. Upton.
She was predeceased by her husband, Glenn Cross, on June 26, 2007; a granddaughter, Shannon Amber Campbell and a brother, Michael Homick.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Cross may be directed to a charity to benefit an American Indian organization or to Boy's Town, Donor Services, P.O. Box 6000, Boy's Town, NE 68010.
