Clarence "Stub" C. Parker, 84, of S. Plymouth (Pharsalia), NY, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2010, at his home.
Stub was born in Pharsalia, NY on March 27, 1926, a son of the late Leon and Rebecca Drew Parker. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a past master and member of the Otselic Valley Lodge #659 F&AM for 38 years. He was also a past president and member of the Tractors of Yesteryear Club for several years, served as a former Highway Superintendent for the Town of Pharsalia, and an honorary member of the Cincinnatus Fire Department. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR with his wife, Carlene.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Carlene Hill Parker, at home and his children, Diane (Marshall) Going of Kemp, TX, David (Tracey Alpaugh) Palmer, Sr. of E. Pharsalia, John (Judy) Palmer of El Paso, TX, and Elmer (Paula) Palmer of S. Plymouth. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Grace (Robert) Knickerbocker of Earlville; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Friday, December 10, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. with Fred M.S. Downs officiating. Burial will be in Wayside Rest Cemetery at a later date. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
