Charles Allen Rackett

Charles Allen Rackett, 65, of Auburn, NY, and formerly of Cortland, NY, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at the Northbrook Heights Assisted Living Center, Auburn, NY.

Charles was born in Cortland, NY, on March 11, 1957, the son of the late Loren and Nellie Marvin Rackett.  He was a 1975 graduate of Cincinnatus Central School.  For many years, he made his home in Cortland before moving to the Auburn area.  He had previously been employed as a mechanic for Homer Anderson & Sons Auto in Cortland.

He is survived by his sisters, Jeannette Teichert, Shirley Nichols, Janet Reichard, and Patricia Kohout.  He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Loren D. Rackett, Jr., and a sister, Emma Gates.

A graveside service will be held at the Pitcher Cemetery, Pitcher, NY, on Monday, November 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.  There will be no prior calling hours or funeral service.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Charles may be directed to the Cortland Senior Center, 60 Central Avenue, Cortland, NY 13045.
