Carol A. Pittsley

Carol A. (Steacy) Pittsley, 76, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at her home, while surrounded by her family.

Carol was born in Alexandria Bay, NY, on December 25, 1947, the daughter of the late Jess and Hazel Tibbles Steacy.  A lifelong resident of the area, she had worked as a self-employed cleaner for many families in the area.  Her greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren.  A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Anna (Joe White) Pittsley of Cincinnatus, Cindy (Kenneth) Ballard of Cincinnatus, Ed “Farmer” (Lisa) Pittsley of Taylor, and Eddi (Thomas) Marks of Whitney Point.  She also leaves behind several siblings, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edward A. Pittsley in 1996; a daughter, Kay Ann Pittsley; and a brother, David Steacy.

Funeral services for Carol will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. with Reverend Peter Bush officiating.  Burial will be in Atwater Cemetery at a later date.  The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the start of the service at 6:00 p.m.
