Betty J. Greene

Betty J. (Jackson) Greene, 76, of Willow Spring, NC, and formerly of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at her home.

Betty was born in Owego, NY, on April 22, 1941, the daughter of the late Walter and Marian Brainard Jackson.  A 1960 graduate of Cincinnatus Central School, she had resided in Cincinnatus until 1980 before moving to North Carolina.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Richard Greene; sons, Duane Sayles of Willow Spring, NC, and David (Jennifer) Sayles of Marathon.  She also leaves behind a granddaughter, Cynthia Sayles of Marathon; a great-grandson, Jaxson Stevens of Marathon; a sister, Sally Davis of Cincinnatus; brothers, John Jackson of Keystone Heights, FL, and Charles (Sharon) Jackson of Syracuse; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Scott Sayles; a sister, Jean Horton; and a brother, Steven Jackson.

A graveside service will be held at the Taylor Rural Cemetery on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at 11:00 a.m.
