Beth S. Reynolds

Beth S. Reynolds, 97, of McGraw, NY, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017, at Hospicare in Ithaca, NY.

Born in Red Creek, NY, on July 26, 1920, Mrs. Reynolds was the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Frost Stevens.  A longtime resident of McGraw, she attended the McGrawville Baptist Church.  She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Westfield where, in her younger years, she served as the church secretary for several years.  Prior to her retirement, she owned and operated Jack’s Barcelona Diner and Restaurant for 26 years in Westfield, NY.  In her spare time, she served as a volunteer at the Lamont Memorial Free Library.

She is survived by her children, Bethann Beveridge of McGraw and Rev. J. Steven (Marilyn) Reynolds of Apalachin.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Michael (Shawn) Schultz, Amy (Scott Morris) Schultz, Christina (William) Vass, and Cindy (Josh) Williams; seven great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Vivian Stevens of Red Creek; and a brother-in-law, Richard (Betsy) Reynolds of FL.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Reynolds, in 1969; a sister, Bertha Pierce in 2009; a brother, Dale Stevens in 2010; and a longtime companion, Joseph Minken in 1997.

A memorial service will be held at the McGrawville Baptist Church on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. with her pastor, Reverend Fran Cochran, officiating.  The family will be present to receive friends at the church on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the start of the service.
