Barbara J. Brown

Barbara J. (Cass) Brown, 83, formerly of Pitcher, NY, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY. 

Barb was born in Cortland, NY, on June 25, 1941, the daughter of the late Howard and Bessie Shevalier Cass. In her younger years, she attended the First Baptist Church of Cincinnatus. She had also helped her husband, Arden, on the family dairy farm. Barb enjoyed reading, gardening, country music, and her cats. 

She is survived by her children, Cheryl May, Barry Brown, Charlene (Lon) Lyford, and Brett (Susan) Brown. She also leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Arden “Bucky” Brown on September 28, 2004; a son, Bryan Brown; a brother, William Cass; and a sister, Eleanor Burrows.
