Arthur V. Manz, 85, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse, NY.
Mr. Manz was born in Freeport, NY, on May 20, 1933, the son of the late Joseph and Charlotte Wolff Manz. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1953 until his honorable discharge in 1955. Prior to his retirement in 1988, he was employed as the branch manager for the U.S. Post Office in Smithtown, NY. Throughout the years, Mr. Manz belonged to several organizations, including the Cortland County Trapper’s Association, the Isaac Walton Cortland Field Archers, the NYS Bow Hunters Association, the NYS Turkey Federation, and a life member of the Solon Sportsmans Club.
He is survived by his wife, Joan (Rose) Manz, and his children, Ed (Barbara) Manz and Karen Tully, all of Cincinnatus. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Theresa (Jay Harmon) Manz and their son, Joshua, Edward Manz, Jr., Jennifer Tully and her children Everett and Owen, and Stephanie (Lance) Boone.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no prior services.
